Systems Administrator, Cybersecurity

About the role

MDA Space is looking for a Systems Administrator with a focus on cybersecurity to support the RADAR satellite missions Ground Systems. The role is based at the MDA Control Centre, Canadian Space Agency Headquarters in St. Hubert, Quebec, and involves maintaining and protecting critical systems that support Canada’s national security interests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational workflows and system documentation.
• Perform network and hardware maintenance, including installation of hardware, networking equipment, and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues across multi‑site environments.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating on‑premise and cloud‑deployed systems, focusing on upgrades, security, cost monitoring, and system management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions that meet customer requirements, security policies, and corporate IT standards.
• Update and create tools, processes, and best practices such as automated scripts, test procedures, and installation plans.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience in system and network administration.
