Syndication Analyst

About the role

Join the Commercial Syndicated Lending team at EQ Bank and support the management of syndicate partner relationships. You will provide product advice, educate investors on policies, and market the bank’s financial solutions throughout the loan lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute loan sale documentation, ensure AML compliance, and coordinate with Originations and Credit to maintain file integrity.
• Communicate terms, conditions, and required documents to external syndicate partners and provide concise responses to their requests.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to onboard investors, fund syndicated commercial assets, and manage transactions from inception to maturity.
• Assist in reporting for the Syndicated Lending team and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in business or finance with 2‑4 years of commercial lending underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organization and time‑management abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, professional interactions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of loan syndication principles, planning and tactics.
• Technical expertise in commercial real estate underwriting and financial statement analysis.
• Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and corporate/legal documentation for commercial real estate transactions.
