Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer will develop, implement and maintain quality systems aligned with IATF 16949:2016. This position supports continuous improvement initiatives and helps sustain strong customer relationships through rigorous supplier quality management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the supplier approval list and ensure compliance with Ampco quality requirements.
• Manage supplier corrective actions, qualification, evaluation and development.
• Evaluate supplier PPAP submissions and provide technical support.
• Prepare, monitor and analyse QMS KPIs; develop KPI dashboards.
• Apply statistical techniques, conduct statistical studies and perform measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Oversee equipment calibration and manage UL and CSA audits, including communication with external auditors.
• Assist the Quality Manager with IATF and ISO 14001 internal audits and non‑conformance handling.
• Document all assigned projects and support additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of quality experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Quality Engineering designation (ASQ CQE) or VDA 6.3 auditor certification.
