Stress Engineer – Damage Tolerance Analysis (Aviation)

About the role

CapGemini is seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to lead damage tolerance analysis and repair engineering for large commercial aircraft. Based in Mirabel, Quebec, the role offers career growth and the chance to contribute to passenger safety on modern airliners.

Key responsibilities

• Apply expertise in metallic aircraft stress areas to develop repair solutions.
• Perform damage tolerance analyses supporting fleet-wide repairs.
• Prepare, review, and update stress analysis reports and aircraft manuals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design structural repair strategies.
• Maintain and update Aircraft Structural Repair Publication and Aircraft Maintenance Publication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of stress analysis experience in aerospace, including 3 years of damage tolerance analysis on primary structures.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on aircraft/airframe repair experience.
• Good knowledge of airworthiness regulations (Transport Canada experience is a plus).
• Strong initiative, responsibility, and sound judgment.
