Strategic Buyer

About the role

As a Strategic Buyer at Soucy, you will join the core procurement team to shape the company’s supply chain strategy. You will identify and manage key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and support sales initiatives, ensuring cost‑effective and high‑quality sourcing for our rubber and plastic manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Secure optimal pricing and purchasing terms aligned with cost‑reduction goals.
• Negotiate contracts with new suppliers and nurture strong business relationships.
• Participate in the approval of new sourcing channels and support sales bids.
• Analyze historical consumption, forecast raw‑material needs, and maintain purchasing databases (MRP, prices, items, suppliers).
• Process internal requisitions, contribute to supplier evaluations, and ensure compliance with ISO standards.

Required profile

• Certificate in Supply Chain Management.
• 5–8 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multitask, strong judgment, and attention to detail.
• Bilingual in French and English; occasional travel required.
