About the role

The Store Manager role at Tokyo Express is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Edmonton, AB. You will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, inventory control, and strict food‑safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing routines, cash handling, and loss‑prevention practices.
• Create and maintain staff schedules, supervise team members, and provide coaching.
• Oversee inventory ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
• Ensure food‑safety standards and local health regulations are consistently met.
• Monitor sales performance, handle cash reconciliation, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Address customer concerns promptly and maintain high service quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance feedback for the team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing abilities and proven experience in store or restaurant management.
• Experience supervising staff, creating schedules, and handling daily operations.
• Knowledge of retail loss‑prevention practices and basic financial controls.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site, including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast‑paced environment.
• Food‑safety certification or familiarity with local health regulations is an asset.
