Store Clerk

About the role

The Store Clerk works in the on‑site convenience store at a student residence, providing fast, accurate transaction processing and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for students and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality customer service and handle cash, credit, and other payment methods.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with food‑handling policies.
• Use Campus Living Centres computer software for sales and reporting.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock taking, and produce store reports.
• Lift items up to 20 lb and follow emergency and safety procedures.
• Answer phone calls courteously and protect student/guest privacy.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous cash‑handling experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal communication and a positive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Cash handling.
• WHMIS 2015 and GHS system knowledge.
• Inventory management.
• Proficiency with Campus Living Centres computer software.
