Start-up Administrator

About the role

The Start-up Administrator provides essential administrative and logistical support for the initiation and budgeting of industry‑sponsored clinical trials within the Clinical Research Unit. Working under the Start‑up Officer, the role ensures accurate data entry, document preparation, and coordination across internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting budgets, cost justifications, and tracking budget versions and amendments.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper files for contracts, budgets, and related documents.
• Collect feasibility information, update start‑up trackers, and coordinate submissions of standard forms and checklists.
• Enter and update study, contract, and budget data in the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and generate reports as needed.
• Support vendor quote coordination, prepare meeting materials, take notes, and follow up on action items.
• Review data entries for completeness, follow SOPs, and suggest improvements to templates.
• Stay current on CRU policies, CTMS updates, and participate in internal training.

Required profile

• Experience providing administrative support in a clinical research environment.
• Ability to manage multiple documents and trackers accurately.
• Strong attention to detail for regulatory and financial records.
• Effective communication with internal teams, sponsors, and vendors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
