Staff Social Media Manager

About the role

This senior position is responsible for shaping and executing social media strategies that engage technical audiences and developer communities worldwide. Based in Canada, you will translate complex technology concepts into compelling digital experiences while strengthening the brand’s presence across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and execute comprehensive social media content calendars for LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other channels.
• Develop technical content such as tutorials, educational posts and industry insights that resonate with developers, engineers and technical decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with technical teams and developer advocates to turn complex concepts into engaging social formats.
• Monitor developer communities, participate in relevant conversations and optimise content based on audience behavior.
• Analyse performance metrics, prepare reports and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement.
• Build and manage employee advocacy programs and support executive social media presence.
• Train employees on social media best practices and brand standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably within B2B SaaS, software or technology companies.
• Proven track record creating content for developer‑focused audiences.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for technical readers.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management abilities.
