Software/Application Developer Co‑op (Hybrid)

About the role

Join CIBC’s Technology team as a Software/Application Developer Co‑op and contribute to the bank’s digital transformation. You will work on creating easy‑to‑use, flexible, and personalized banking solutions that enhance the client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, code, test and debug software components for straightforward assignments.
• Assist in the technical design, development and integration of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems.
• Support implementation, testing and maintenance of application systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts and senior developers to gather requirements and prepare design specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to full‑time studies.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to review and modify programming systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an innovation‑focused team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
