Software Engineer (Python) – FinTech – Montreal

About the role

We are seeking a Python‑focused Software Engineer to join an elite FinTech firm in Montreal. You will help build and maintain high‑performance backend systems that power real‑time analytical platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and support backend services that process large‑scale datasets in real time.
• Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions with a strong emphasis on performance.
• Collaborate with product teams, engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into production‑ready features.
• Contribute clean, efficient code to a well‑engineered codebase that supports long‑term growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Commercial experience building production‑grade applications using Python.
• Full‑stack development experience is a plus, with familiarity in React considered beneficial.
• Exposure to trading or FinTech environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong curiosity for emerging technologies and best engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
