Software Engineer II

About the role

TD is looking for a Software Engineer II to join its Technology Solutions team in Toronto. In this role you will develop components of solutions focused on analytics, support, testing, and proof‑of‑concept work that align with business and technology objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new features and components for internal applications.
• Perform unit and component testing, and support small enhancements and break/fix implementations.
• Collaborate with technology partners to ensure configurations and custom components meet performance goals.
• Analyze technical requirements and provide pragmatic engineering solutions.
• Participate in peer code reviews and maintain high‑quality, defect‑free code.
• Document system components, architecture designs, and integration details.
• Engage in quality management reviews to verify that designs and prototypes meet requirements.

Required profile

• Experience developing software solutions in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to work with internal stakeholders and technology partners to deliver engineering outcomes.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering reliable, maintainable code.
