About the role

Join Stripe's Experimental Projects team, an in‑house innovation lab that turns bold ideas into working prototypes. As a Software Engineer you will have the autonomy to identify opportunities, rapidly build full‑stack solutions, and validate them with real users, helping shape the future of Stripe’s platform.

Key responsibilities

• Drive projects from ideation through implementation, owning the full development lifecycle.
• Build full‑stack solutions, including intuitive web front‑ends, clean APIs, and robust back‑end services.
• Work with a variety of languages and frameworks (TypeScript, Ruby, Python, Java, Go, etc.) based on project needs.
• Collaborate directly with users to gather feedback, prototype quickly, and iterate on solutions.
• Partner with other Stripe teams to integrate prototypes into existing infrastructure.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional, hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Proven ability to prototype rapidly while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong product intuition and empathy for user needs.
• Experience building and shipping customer‑facing products from scratch.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
