About the role

Electronic Arts is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team in Vancouver. This 12‑month fixed‑term position focuses on building and maintaining automation pipelines that enable game creators to deliver playable builds efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a technical liaison with development teams to troubleshoot build issues and drive improvements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI automation pipelines using Jenkins and other CI tools.
  • Monitor automation systems, resolve performance bottlenecks, and respond to pipeline breakages.
  • Deploy, manage, and monitor virtual infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
  • Maintain the product backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent education in software development or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering and debugging principles.
  • Experience working with CI/CD systems and automation frameworks.

Required skills

  • Jenkins (or GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Scripting languages: Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Batch
  • Source‑control systems: Perforce, Git
