Software Engineer – Automotive Financing Platform

About the role

Join the Dealertrack Canada team within Trader Corporation to build and modernize the software that powers automotive financing workflows for millions of Canadians. You will work on credit application processing, lender and dealer integrations, fraud prevention, and risk assessment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship clean, reliable, and testable code for new features and modules.
• Create and maintain simple services following team and platform standards.
• Write unit tests and contribute to automation that improves release confidence.
• Refactor existing code to enhance readability, operability, and extensibility.
• Understand business problems, customer outcomes, risks, and dependencies before implementation.
• Participate in technical design discussions and raise unclear requirements or technical risks early.
• Explain design and implementation choices clearly to the team.
• Own work from implementation through release, monitoring, and support.

Required profile

• Motivated software engineer eager to grow within a product engineering team.
• Ability to learn the automotive financing domain and understand operational impact.
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to take ownership of end‑to‑end delivery.
