Softgoods Associate – Full-Time Retail Position

About the role

Giant Tiger is seeking a friendly and motivated Softgoods Associate to join its Summerside store team. In this full‑time position you will help customers find the right products, ensure smooth checkout operations, and maintain an organized sales floor.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑level customer service and assist shoppers with product inquiries.
• Process transactions accurately using electronic cash registers, mainline and self‑checkout stations.
• Replenish merchandise around checkout areas and manage hot‑selling items, markdowns, and SKU updates.
• Maintain planograms, price tags, and signage according to store standards.
• Perform cycle counts and support loss‑prevention practices.
• Follow health, safety, tobacco, and lottery compliance policies.
• Keep the checkout work area clean, organized, and safe.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and reliable attendance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
