Social Media Content Creator – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a creative and organized Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to support a high‑profile initiative focused on Indigenous community engagement. The role is fully remote and lasts six months, offering the chance to shape inclusive digital communications for a purpose‑driven project.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create, schedule and publish content on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments and messages, and flag emerging opportunities or issues.
• Maintain and update website content using a content management system.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align digital output with broader communication strategies.
• Adapt messaging for diverse audiences through visual storytelling and short‑form video.
• Track performance metrics and provide insights for continuous optimisation.
• Ensure all communications are culturally respectful, inclusive and aligned with organisational values.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience managing social media accounts for organisations, communities or campaigns.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent written English; French is an asset.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or organisations is highly valued.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Experience using a Content Management System (CMS) to update website content.
• Graphic‑design ability with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
