Skills Training & Competency Development Technician

About the role

As a Skills Training and Competency Development Technician, you will support the design, delivery, and quality assurance of training programs while providing technical expertise for operational issues. This 12‑month fixed‑term role blends needs analysis, process research, and hands‑on training logistics to enhance team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a resource person, delivering technical support for complex operational challenges.
• Evaluate training needs, validate approaches, tools, and content, and assist with logistics and delivery.
• Conduct specialized technical studies, research, and analysis; propose solutions and action plans.
• Roll out, maintain, and troubleshoot software, manual, and automated processes; train end‑users.
• Prepare technical notes and documentation to boost team skills and knowledge.
• Guide practitioners to follow unit standards, processes, and business solutions.

Required profile

• College diploma in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in training, technical support, or process analysis.
• Fluency in French and advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong decision‑making and situational adaptability.
