Skilled Carpenter – Join a Growing Team

About the role

ADA Maintenance Services is seeking a skilled carpenter to support construction and renovation projects across various facilities. The role involves interpreting plans, preparing layouts, and delivering high‑quality woodwork while adhering to safety and building codes.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Client‑focused attitude and sound judgement.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Measuring and layout preparation.
• Cutting, shaping and assembling wood and related materials.
• Using hand and power tools safely.
• Installing windows, doors and finish hardware.
