Skilled Carpenter – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in Calgary. The role involves working on a variety of commercial and residential projects, handling tasks from framing to finishing. You will work onsite in diverse environments, including heights, noisy and dusty conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation.
• 2–3 years of carpentry experience in construction.
• Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads and meet tight deadlines.
• Accurate, reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
