Skid Steer Operator – Residential Grading (Edmonton)

About the role

Erosion Control Central is seeking an experienced Skid Steer Operator to join its construction division in Edmonton. You will work on residential grading and loaming projects, ensuring precise site preparation while supporting the company’s erosion‑control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a skid steer and Bobcat mini‑skid steer (463 / S70) for residential grading and loaming.
• Mark and check grades accurately from site plans.
• Direct truck traffic and coordinate material placement on active construction sites.
• Prepare job sites by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and installing erosion‑control measures.
• Load, unload, and transport materials safely; perform site clean‑up after project completion.
• Maintain safety compliance by wearing PPE and following all safety protocols.
• Document daily work logs and compliance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of skid steer operating experience in residential construction.
• Proven ability to grade, loam, and accurately mark grades.
• Experience directing truck traffic and coordinating material placement.
• Strong understanding of residential construction practices and site safety.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively in a team.
