Site Supervisor / Early Years Facilitator (Children & Family Services)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Site Supervisor/Early Years Facilitator to lead a positive learning environment for children aged 2‑12 at Wesley’s EarlyON Child and Family Centre and Before‑After School program. The role combines supervision, curriculum delivery and community outreach within a unionized, full‑time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan, promote, implement and evaluate daily program operations with support from management.
• Ensure safety, oversight and care of all children and participants at all times.
• Design programming aligned with the Ministry of Education’s “How Does Learning Happen?” pedagogy.
• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements under the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) and centre policies.
• Provide information and referrals to parents/caregivers about community services.
• Facilitate engaging workshops and programs in the EarlyON centre.
• Welcome and support clients from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers, LGBTQ2S+, and young parents.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (or equivalent).
• Minimum two years experience working with urban children ages 2‑12.
• Experience in child‑care settings, collaborating with parents and community partners.
• Current First Aid/CPR and Safe Food Handling certification.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (2014) and related licensing regulations.
• Ability to deliver safe food handling practices and emergency first‑aid response.
