Site Superintendent – Vancouver

About the role

Buttcon is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead on‑site construction activities in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. Reporting to the Director, Field, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead on‑site construction teams, including subcontractors and labour crews.
• Interpret sub‑contracts and ensure scope of work is clearly understood.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules and a six‑week look‑ahead.
• Conduct weekly sub‑trade meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers and procurement to align resources and materials.
• Monitor compliance with design, specifications, industry standards and safety protocols.
• Perform regular inspections, address workmanship deficiencies, and ensure timely RFI responses.
• Track project expenses, review invoices and control costs while maintaining quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading construction teams on institutional, commercial, industrial or multi‑unit residential projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret design drawings and blueprints.
• Commitment to safety, accountability and people‑focused leadership.
• Effective communication with stakeholders and ability to resolve issues promptly.
