Site Superintendent

About the role

The Site Superintendent will lead, direct, and coordinate the day‑to‑day activities on construction sites for MGI. This role ensures that safety protocols, schedules, quality standards, and budget targets are met while fostering a collaborative environment for subcontractors, labourers, field engineers, and interns.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily work of subcontractors, labourers, field engineers, interns and other site personnel.
• Develop and implement risk‑mitigation strategies to protect financial targets, budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Administer contracts, sub‑contracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices.
• Identify design deficiencies, schedule interruptions, and other project issues, providing timely advice.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws, including OHSA/CSA regulations and environmental requirements.
• Mentor project team members to support career growth and development.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction sites with a focus on safety, schedule adherence, quality control and budget management.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and change management processes.
• Ability to recognize and resolve design or schedule issues promptly.
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
