Site Superintendent – Construction Projects

About the role

The Site Superintendent reports to the Director of Field and leads all on‑site construction activities. This position ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and lead on‑site construction teams, including subcontractors and labour crews.
• Read and interpret subcontracts to confirm scope accuracy for all parties.
• Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor progress against project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align on goals, plans, and specifications.
• Create and maintain detailed construction schedules and a six‑week look‑ahead for site activities.
• Lead weekly sub‑trade meetings and ensure RFI responses are received promptly.
• Monitor construction processes for compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to address workmanship deviations.
• Enforce strict safety protocols to protect all site personnel.
• Track project expenses, review invoices, and control costs without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading on‑site construction teams and subcontractors.
• Strong ability to read and understand design drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent knowledge of subcontract documents and scope management.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
