Site Operations Manager

About the role

Black & McDonald is expanding its Facility Management & Operations team in the Ashton, Ontario area. The Site Operations Manager will report to the Division Manager and lead the daily execution of maintenance, janitorial, security and technical services for the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily facility operations, ensuring efficient delivery of maintenance, janitorial, security and support services.
• Supervise, schedule, train and manage performance of onsite staff.
• Maintain service quality and compliance with KPIs, standards and client expectations.
• Oversee building systems and maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and repairs.
• Manage health, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors, ensuring performance, cost‑effectiveness and contract compliance.
• Allocate labor, equipment and materials to meet operational needs.
• Develop and control operational budgets for maintenance, repairs and services.
• Respond to occupant requests, resolve issues promptly and drive customer service excellence.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client relationships and site‑related matters.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in facility operations or building management.
• Experience managing teams in a complex, multi‑service environment.
• Post‑secondary education in Facility Management, Engineering, Trades or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications such as FMP or PMP are assets.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and customer focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with teams and hold self and others accountable.
