About the role
The Site Manager reports to the General Manager and is accountable for safety, customer satisfaction and employee engagement at Jensen Infrastructure’s distribution facility in Ontario, California. The role upholds the company’s ethical standards and community reputation while ensuring efficient yard operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all site personnel, handling recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain an organized yard, ensure products are stored correctly, and implement FIFO (first‑in‑first‑out) processes for product delivery.
- Oversee environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs, schedule safety training, and conduct toolbox talks in line with corporate policies.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, schedule deliveries, work with external haulers, and monitor DOT compliance and driver inspections.
- Perform inside and/or outside sales activities as directed and assist with cost checks against other carriers.
Required profile
- 5–10 years of operations experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
- Proven supervisory experience with strong communication skills.
- Ability to interact with customers, vendors and contractors.
- Basic knowledge of dispatch, logistics and DOT regulations.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment such as boom trucks and commercial vehicles.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (email, spreadsheets, word processing).
