Shopify Plus Developer

About the role

DAVIDsTEA is expanding its digital experience and needs a Shopify Plus Developer to own the technical build of its e‑commerce site. Reporting to the eCommerce Digital Director, you will lead a full‑stack rebuild, create custom apps, and integrate deep platform solutions while collaborating with brand, marketing and agency partners.

Key responsibilities

• Full theme rebuild on Shopify Horizon with SEO‑friendly heading structure.
• Implement homepage, product detail, collection and content pages from Figma designs.
• Deliver mobile‑first, Core Web Vitals‑optimized front‑end code.
• Configure Shopify Search & Discovery and advanced filtering.
• Design and develop a unified customer account experience, integrating orders, subscriptions, loyalty and preferences.
• Build UI Extensions and a branded preference centre that drives Klaviyo flows.
• Implement subscription and bundle logic, including reorder frequency and custom bundle creation.
• Define product data architecture using metafields and metaobjects, conduct SKU audits and enforce data governance.
• Create interactive storefront components such as guided product‑recommendation tools.
• Lead internationalisation setup with Shopify Markets, handling localization, currency, tax and content for new regions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on full‑stack developer comfortable working across the Shopify Plus stack.
• Experience delivering large‑scale e‑commerce projects with a focus on performance and SEO.
• Proven ability to collaborate with design, marketing and external agency teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex integrations and data architecture.
