Shipping Supervisor

About the role

The Shipping Supervisor will lead the daily shipping function at AGI's Winnipeg facility, ensuring that finished products are prepared, staged, and loaded safely, accurately, and on schedule. This position works closely with production, customer service, logistics and other internal teams to keep outbound shipments flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities, prioritising work based on production schedules, customer requirements and shipment deadlines.
• Provide direction and support to shipping staff, ensuring safe and efficient execution of tasks.
• Oversee preparation, staging and loading of finished goods for outbound shipments.
• Verify that shipments meet documentation and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, Logistics and other departments to resolve shipping issues.
• Monitor workload, adjust assignments and communicate any delays or material issues.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and support inventory accuracy.
• Promote safe work practices and uphold company safety procedures.
• Assist with training new shipping employees and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset but not mandatory.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with shipping, inventory or ERP systems.
