About the role
The University of Toronto is seeking a sessional lecturer to teach LIN/LTL486H5F, a course on teaching and learning cross‑cultural communication. The appointment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026 and is delivered in‑person on Fridays.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver course content for a 2‑hour weekly class.
- Interact with students outside class via email and office hours.
- Develop, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and exams.
- Calculate and submit final grades in a timely manner.
- Order required readings and manage any teaching assistants assigned.
Required profile
- Native or near‑native fluency in French.
- Specialization in second language education or applied linguistics.
- Demonstrated mastery of cross‑cultural communication teaching and learning.
- Preference given to candidates already holding Sessional Lecturer II or III rank.
