Sessional Lecturer – Artists' Multiples

About the role

The Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Design at the University of Toronto seeks a sessional lecturer to teach VIS321H1S – Artists' Multiples during the Winter semester (January 1 – April 30 2027). The course explores the production of artist multiples across various media, complemented by gallery and archive visits, screenings, and artist talks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, workshops, and studio sessions.
• Manage digital teaching materials and course resources.
• Design, assign, and grade assignments, tests, and projects.
• Maintain accurate student records, submit grades, and handle student enquiries, appeals, and petitions.
• Provide regular student contact hours and support.

Required profile

• MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) with prior teaching experience.
• Strong exhibition history; currently exhibiting artist or curator.
• References may be requested.
• Internationally recognized practice is preferred.
