About the role

The Werklund School of Education seeks a Sessional Instructor to teach the graduate course EDER 600 L02 – Research Methodologies in Education for the Fall 2026 term. The appointment runs from August 24 to December 18, 2026 and involves both online and on‑campus delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver weekly lectures, discussions, and assessments for EDER 600 L02.
  • Facilitate student engagement with research methods, encouraging critical analysis of scholarly articles.
  • Provide timely feedback on assignments and support students in developing research proposals.
  • Maintain course materials on the university’s learning management system.
  • Collaborate with faculty and program staff to ensure alignment with graduate program objectives.

Required profile

  • Completed doctorate (PhD or EdD) in education or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success in teaching at the university level or equivalent professional settings.
  • Experience delivering instruction in online or distance‑learning environments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative academic culture.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of educational research methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency with online teaching platforms and learning management systems.
