Service Plumber (4th Year – Journeyman)

About the role

Black & McDonald is looking for an experienced Service Plumber (4th Year – Journeyman) to join its Service Division in Edmonton. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing commercial plumbing and heating equipment while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment such as pumps, hot‑water tanks, water‑filtration systems and backflow devices.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including emergency drain cleaning and tenant‑improvement projects.
• Execute small re‑pipe, retrofit and suite‑turnover projects.
• Complete daily service reports using the B&M mobile reporting application.
• Prepare accurate labor and material take‑offs for ordering and budgeting.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on‑call emergency service roster.

Required profile

• 4th‑Year or Journeyman plumbing ticket.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate clearly with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with industry standards.
