Service Account Representative

About the role

Join Black & McDonald’s Northern Ontario Region Service team in Ottawa to ensure client satisfaction, contract delivery, and secure new projects with existing clients. This full‑time position reports to the Division Manager and offers a pathway to build a solid foundation for a career in service account management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal client reviews and prospecting activities using provided training.
• Prepare proposals, conduct equipment surveys, and develop life‑cycle plans for facilities.
• Maintain relationships with customers to ensure contract delivery meets company expectations.
• Review completed project results with management and provide marketing feedback.
• Participate in company meetings, marketing events, and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• University degree or college diploma in business, engineering or related field (or equivalent trades experience).
• 1‑3 years experience in HVAC, electrical or plumbing, with mechanical trade account management preferred.
• Strong communication, customer focus, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• HVAC, electrical and plumbing knowledge.
• Mechanical trade account management.
• Building automation controls (asset).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
