Senior Systems MTS – Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Missions

About the role

Lead end‑to‑end engineering for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) space missions, shaping mission concepts, budgets, and technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to SAR engineering across the full mission lifecycle.
• Develop mission concept of operations, high‑level specs, and spacecraft budgets for the SAR payload.
• Lead technical solutions for mission enhancements such as beam mode design and image quality modelling.
• Participate in risk management, integration, verification and validation activities.
• Own design trade‑offs across spacecraft systems, SAR payload, processor and end‑user applications.
• Mentor team members during commissioning, calibration and early operations.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Math or Physics.
• 10+ years experience with radar, SAR or similar active imaging systems.
• 5+ years in space systems engineering or a complex systems environment.
• Experience in SAR remote sensing system design, operation, applications or calibration.
• Strong communication skills and US citizenship or permanent residency.
