Senior Software Engineer – Multiple Teams

About the role

Relay is a digital banking platform that empowers self‑made business owners with real‑time visibility into cash flow, turning financial guesswork into clear signals for growth. The Engineering team builds the banking products that help millions of small businesses succeed, and this role will contribute across multiple product teams. As a Senior Software Engineer you will own end‑to‑end feature delivery while shaping the technical direction of the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own features across the full development lifecycle – design, development, testing, deployment and monitoring – ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
• Manage production systems and optimize infrastructure to improve availability, scalability and resilience.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer and business needs.
• Identify and drive technical, process and product improvements, influencing long‑term strategy.

Required profile

• 3+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience with a track record of delivering significant components.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading initiatives to improve code quality and performance.
• Proactive, self‑directed learner who thrives in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
• Collaborative team player who takes end‑to‑end ownership of features and keeps customer impact front‑of‑mind.
