Senior Software Developer

About the role

Telus Digital is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join its Digital Billing Engineering DevOps team. The role focuses on supporting, transforming, and ensuring continuity for the Kenan Application Support environments, including the migration of KGW to EBG, for high‑security Government of Canada billing contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the Kenan Application Support stack (KGW and its replacement EBG).
• Collaborate with domain experts to accelerate knowledge transfer and manage data‑transformation logic.
• Design and implement robust data‑migration and analytical querying solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Government of Canada security requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, API design, and cloud infrastructure on GCP and GKE.

Required profile

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident, eligible for Government security clearance.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong background in Java and Node.js development.
• Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle) and complex SQL queries.
• Solid knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Google Kubernetes Engine, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency with VS Code, GitHub, and modern CI/CD practices.
