Senior ServiceNow Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer to join Equitable Bank’s ServiceNow Centre of Excellence in Toronto. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting ServiceNow applications, workflows, catalog items, and integrations to meet business and regulatory needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow features, modules, and integrations.
• Own feature delivery from requirements gathering through deployment, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert, enforce coding standards and best practices, and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and administrators, fostering a culture of learning.
• Support release management, monitor production issues, and provide clear technical documentation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements, staying current with platform updates and industry trends.
• Contribute to configuration management initiatives such as Service Mapping and CMDB/CSDM.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer with progressive responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Service Mapping and CMDB/CSDM is an asset.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and database concepts.
• Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CAD, CIS) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and collaborate in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
