Senior Salesforce Technical Architect

About the role

The Salesforce Technical Architect will lead the design and technical integrity of Salesforce‑based solutions that support the Graduate Student Experience transformation and broader student success initiatives at UBC. This senior technical specialist works within a multi‑cloud ecosystem that includes Education, Experience, Marketing and Data Clouds, ensuring solutions are scalable, cost‑effective and aligned with the university’s long‑term digital vision.

Key responsibilities

• Translate enterprise architecture standards and blueprints into detailed Salesforce technical designs.
• Provide technical oversight to internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Ensure implementations adhere to UBC’s enterprise‑wide policies, standards and guardrails.
• Collaborate with senior managers to align technical delivery with strategic platform goals.
• Maintain technical quality and sustainability of Salesforce implementations across multi‑year initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering complex Salesforce solutions in large organisations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and governance.
• Proven ability to work in matrix environments and coordinate with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on long‑term platform strategy.
