Senior Python Developer - Automation & Backend Specialist

About the Position

Join Apptoza Inc. as a Senior Python Developer to play a pivotal role in modernizing and automating our core operational workflows. You will be at the forefront of transforming legacy systems into high-performance, scalable architectures while integrating cutting-edge technologies like LLM models.

Main Missions

• Automate CMOD operations through advanced Python scripting.
• Design and implement job scheduling using Autosys or Zapp agents.
• Manage and interact with DB2 databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Modernize legacy codebases, specifically migrating Perl and Shell scripts to Python.
• Architect new features and integrations involving IBM MQ, CPS, and ARS.
• Document complex technical workflows using DrawIO and Confluence.
• Deliver high-quality features following the full SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Profile Required

• Proven experience in backend development with a strong focus on automation.
• Expertise in migrating legacy environments (Perl/Shell) to modern Python frameworks.
• Strong understanding of enterprise messaging and database management.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and follow strict SDLC standards.
• Analytical mindset with an interest in integrating LLM models into production workflows.
