Senior Project Manager, Bridges

About the role

Parsons is looking for an experienced senior bridge project manager to lead and support bridge and other structural projects across Alberta and Western Canada, with a focus on Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors (TEC). The role combines project governance, client interaction, and business development to grow Parsons’ bridge portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major bridge projects as Project Manager while overseeing smaller assignments and ensuring quality, transparency, and accountability.
• Grow and manage Parsons’ bridge portfolio with Alberta Transportation and TEC through proactive client engagement and opportunity shaping.
• Develop and lead proposals, including win strategies, scopes, schedules, and resource‑loaded budgets, and participate in client debriefs.
• Ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery, risk management, change control, and contractual compliance across projects.
• Plan and confirm resourcing for active projects and pursuits in coordination with the Business Development team.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff and act as functional manager for a small group of employees.
• Represent Parsons at industry events and on the Consulting Engineers of Alberta Transportation Committee.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering major bridge engineering and construction projects, preferably with Alberta Transportation and TEC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related technical field) and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to travel within Alberta (occasional out‑of‑province travel).
• Strong work ethic, commitment to ethics and integrity, and a seller‑doer attitude.
