Senior Project Director – Major Projects (Healthcare & Airport)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Director to lead large‑scale, high‑visibility infrastructure programmes across healthcare, airport and other public‑sector assets in the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to senior executive leadership, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary projects from pre‑construction through operational hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute delivery strategy for major institutional projects, including P3, design‑build, construction‑management and joint‑venture models.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams covering construction, engineering, commercial, scheduling, estimating, project controls, safety, quality and commissioning.
• Manage executive‑level client relationships and coordinate with owners, consultants, government bodies, lenders and joint‑venture partners.
• Oversee commercial and risk management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the quality standards expected of nationally significant works.
• Guide the transition from construction to operational phases, including commissioning and hand‑over to facility owners.

Required profile

• Proven senior construction leadership experience delivering major institutional projects at a national or provincial scale.
• Background with a Canadian general contractor, construction manager, P3 consortium or large infrastructure delivery organisation.
• Strong track record in hospital, airport, transit or other technically complex public‑sector environments.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage political and commercial complexities and maintain client confidence.

Required skills

• Experience with P3, design‑build, construction‑management and joint‑venture delivery models.
• Deep understanding of project controls, scheduling, estimating and risk management in large‑scale construction.
• Knowledge of safety, quality and commissioning processes for critical infrastructure.
