About the role

The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join its Digital Solutions team. This senior individual contributor will provide advanced system‑level technical leadership for the design, development, modernization and support of complex educational and administrative platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modernize educational and administrative software solutions.
• Lead technically complex initiatives that span multiple systems, integrations, or delivery teams.
• Provide system‑level technical direction and ensure long‑term sustainability of assigned platforms.
• Maintain hands‑on delivery responsibility and overall system ownership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while operating with a high degree of independence and judgment.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in system‑level programming and analysis.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and make independent technical decisions.
• Strong understanding of educational and administrative platform requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to work across multiple teams.
