Senior Math & Science Tutor – In‑Person & In‑Home

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking an energetic Senior Math and Science Tutor to provide in‑person, in‑home instruction to high‑school students across Midtown Toronto. You will help learners build confidence, master curriculum content, and achieve academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized tutoring aligned with the Ontario secondary English, Math and Science curricula.
• Prepare students for classroom assessments, culminating projects, exams and OSSLT where applicable.
• Design customized lesson plans that promote deep understanding and academic growth.
• Provide remedial support for struggling learners and enrichment for advanced students.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress, goals and areas for improvement.

Required profile

• Current, valid registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or a certified teacher in Canada/US (or in the process of certification).
• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program or experienced as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited college/university.
• Experience tutoring or teaching high‑school English (Grades 9‑12) and familiarity with the Ontario curriculum.
• Reliable transportation and residence in Toronto to travel to students’ homes.
