Senior Internal Auditor, Assurance & Advisory

About the role

Fidelity Canada is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for its Assurance & Advisory team. The role will be based in Toronto on a flexible hybrid schedule and will focus on evaluating risks, testing controls and delivering actionable audit insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and document business risks and controls for assigned audit projects.
• Support audit scope definition, fieldwork planning and testing within set timeframes.
• Perform technical research, walkthroughs and audit testing, and document findings.
• Produce draft audit reports that detail issues, root causes, business impact and recommended action plans.
• Engage with stakeholders to validate findings and ensure timely closure of audit issues.
• Assist in testing technology‑based controls and IT general controls.
• Analyze large data sets for outliers and anomalies using data‑analytics tools.

Required profile

• Experience in internal audit or assurance functions, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Ability to work under guidance of senior audit leadership and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly.
