Senior Guidance, Navigation & Control Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, verification and on‑orbit support of GNC subsystems for remote‑sensing and communications satellites. The position covers the full GNC lifecycle, from algorithm development to hardware implementation and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Derive GNC functional and performance requirements from mission goals and maintain traceability throughout the project.
• Conduct trade studies, high‑fidelity dynamics simulations (MATLAB/Simulink, STK) and develop error budgets.
• Design and implement attitude‑determination, orbit‑determination and control‑law algorithms, and validate them with Monte Carlo and worst‑case analyses.
• Translate algorithms into real‑time flight software requirements and support SIL/HIL testing on avionics benches.
• Lead integration and verification activities, including sensor calibration, actuator testing and closed‑loop attitude control tests.
• Provide on‑orbit operational support, real‑time GNC troubleshooting and performance reporting.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related field; 10+ years of GNC/AOCS experience on LEO, MEO or GEO satellites.
• Proven ability to work independently, mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively in English and French.
• Experience supporting systems integration, testing, and problem resolution in an aerospace environment.

• Real‑time filtering and embedded code implementation.
• Navigation sensors, actuators and hardware interface definition.

• Confluence and JIRA for documentation and issue tracking.
