Senior Flight-Operations Satellite Systems Engineer

About the role

This senior position is part of the System Engineering Department and focuses on the analysis, planning and definition of constellation operations concepts of operations (ConOps). The company provides full relocation support to Montreal, including immigration assistance and a relocation bonus, with the possibility to work remotely during the initial months while the immigration process is completed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade‑off studies and design the overall Satellite LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) plan, including simulations.
• Develop Spacecraft In‑Orbit Operations procedures, manuals and verification & validation matrices for commissioning, routine and contingency operations.
• Oversee execution of procedures, associated training, and support In‑Orbit Test (IOT) activities, anomaly resolution and fault detection, isolation and recovery (FDIR).
• Support satellite simulator operation and develop operational scripts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of practical experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems and automated operations.
• Strong background in systems engineering, including space and ground segment design and integration.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Python or other scripting languages.
• MATLAB.
• AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Microsoft Excel for engineering analyses.
• Requirements management tools such as DOORS, Windchill or Jama.
