Senior Financial Controller

About the role

ROBIC is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead its accounting function during a period of rapid transformation. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will join a high‑performing team that supports a network of intellectual‑property professionals across Canada and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including period‑end closings, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial control processes.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements and management reports for the parent company.
• Lead, motivate and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Act as a business partner to senior management by delivering financial analyses and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements and internal‑control frameworks.
• Coordinate external audit activities and manage tax obligations, including sales tax compliance.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in accounting with several years of experience in a controller or senior finance role.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team.
• Excellent analytical skills and business‑partnering mindset.
• Experience working in a professional‑services environment is a plus.
