Senior Entrepreneurship Advisor – MedTech (Part‑time)

About the role

The McGill Engine Centre, in partnership with the Clinical Innovation Platform (CLIP), is launching the Health Innovations Catalyst (InnovSanté) program. As a Senior Entrepreneurship Advisor you will act as an Entrepreneur‑in‑Residence, guiding multidisciplinary research teams through the commercialization of med‑tech, digital health and life‑science innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and promoting the InnovSanté program, focusing on medical technology.
• Conduct one‑on‑one meetings with prospective participants to evaluate commercial potential of their technologies, inventions and R&D projects.
• Identify early‑stage technologies and teams with market promise.
• Review and score project submissions and participate in the selection committee.
• Mentor teams using lean start‑up methodology and the IRL framework, establishing and tracking development plans and key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Proven experience in med‑tech or digital health entrepreneurship, preferably as an entrepreneur‑in‑residence or senior advisor.
• Strong understanding of technology commercialization, startup formation, and health‑sector regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills to support researchers, inventors and early‑stage teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across McGill and CLIP locations.
