Senior DevOps Engineer – Remote (Canada)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for fast‑growing international technology companies. This fully remote position supports modern SaaS and enterprise‑grade applications, enabling high‑performing engineering teams through automation, reliability, and cost‑effective cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage secure, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to accelerate reliable software delivery.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerised environments, ensuring performance and resilience.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform for repeatable provisioning.
• Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, maintaining system stability.
• Support cloud security, compliance, backup and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Drive continuous improvements in performance, scalability, reliability and cost optimisation.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
• Solid experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, JavaScript).
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and incident‑resolution skills.
• Good understanding of networking, security principles and distributed systems.
